IndusInd Bank statement PDF to Excel & Tally XML
Convert IndusInd Bank (IndusInd) bank statement PDFs with Jemsky’s dedicated parser — not a renamed homepage and not generic OCR. This page documents the layouts we actually ship, the quirks that break other converters, and examples CAs see in the wild.
IndusInd Bank statements come as tall portrait packs and wide landscape packs. Both are often printed newest transaction first. If you export that order raw, the running-balance audit fails even when every amount is correct. Jemsky reverses to chronological order, then reconciles.
Landscape files split the date across two lines and separate Ref No from Chq No. Portrait files keep a tighter particulars band. Identity tokens include the frequent filename misspelling INDUSLAND.
Cheque and reference isolation matters for IndusInd corporate sampling. Amounts stay numeric.
Excel, CSV, and Tally XML come from the in-memory parse. No archive.
Statement formats the IndusInd parser recognizes
- Portrait ~595 pt: date, particulars, cheque/ref, withdrawal, deposit, balance (often reverse chronological)
- Landscape ~842 pt: split YYYY- + MM-DD dates, separate Ref No and Chq No columns
Parser quirks specific to IndusInd
- PDFs are frequently newest-first; Jemsky reverses to chronological order before balance audit.
- Landscape dates print as two visual lines (YYYY- then MM-DD) and are assembled into one date.
- Detection accepts indusind bank, the common misspelling indusland, and Indie mobile application.
- 50-page landscape files still extract through the last page (sampled 386 txs, 0 mismatches).
Example narrations and how they export
- Reverse-chronological portrait 23 pages — Reordered before Opening + Deposits − Withdrawals check.
- Landscape YYYY- / MM-DD — Assembled to a single ISO-ready date.
CA workflow on IndusInd files
If Excel looks ‘upside down’ vs the PDF’s first page, that is expected — Jemsky chronologicalises for audit. Compare the last Excel row to the PDF’s oldest date, and the closing balance to the PDF summary.
